Neighborhood hype maps

We're making maps to drive more nearby people to workouts, music, and culture scenes. We are a platform for impromptu real-life community. We are a complement to traditional physical and digital marketing, and a competitor for traditional event platforms or the digital rabbithole-vortexes that trap us on the couch or phone.

We're acting with urgency but also humor and humility and kindness.

First up: mapping a few events for the first 100 hosts on each of our core Oakland / Berkeley zones.

What venues or individuals should we promote within a few blocks of:

• San Pablo? Ride that 72 bus up and down through beautiful scenes, til Albany
• Grand Ave? From Continental Club all the way West, up til Piedmont
• International Boulevard headed more east
• Broadway / Telegraph? Of course. The bus/BART service is just too good to not go!
• MLK / Shattuck? Up into Berkeley

Any special Día de los Muertos, Diwali, or Halloween pop-up's?

What organizations connect all these local hosts?

Over time, we'll share our favorite finds about hyperlocal entrepreneurship, culture leads, and urban design / policy. Maybe history, poster design, or public health and safety if you want. Plus keep you posted– and perhaps ask your help on--our lean Benefit Corporation fundraising efforts, of course!
